FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why should I choose Alameda Mobile Animal Care?

First, our approach is different from other groomers. We don’t take your pet out of their home environment. We believe that caring for the animal where they’re most comfortable - in your home, enclosed yard or garage - is what’s best for their health.

Second, as a certified Veterinary Technician I am very watchful for signs of distress, trauma, and medical emergency situations. This unique ability to assess the well-being of the animal means your animal is in the best scenario possible for grooming and care.

Third, your pet’s health and well-being is our priority and is never sacrificed for the ease of our job. Because of this we come as a team for the safety and proper handling of your pet.

Do you provide services to animals that aren’t dogs or cats?

We see all types of animals for grooming and tailored care needs, including guinea pigs, birds, rabbits and more. Please contact us to discuss your animal and its specific needs.

Do you have a mobile unit?

Taking the pet out of its home environment triggers anxieties and stress which causes the appointment to turn into a traumatic experience. Because of this, we do all services and care where the animal is most comfortable - in your home, enclosed yard or garage. For dogs, this could be inside your house, garage or enclosed backyard. For cats, we care for them inside only.

Do I need to provide anything for you to care for my animal?

It all depends on the service you’re getting for your pet. Generally, we need a little space for our equipment and to work, water and sometimes electricity.

Are you open during COVID-19?

Yes! Due to COVID-19, we’re temporarily operating a partial schedule, however we plan to add service days when it’s safe to do so.
